On Jan. 25, the Sun Lakes Posse facility held an open house for the residents of the Sun Lakes Community. The following members within the Sun Lakes Posse organization were showcased at the event:
In attendance were the members of the Sun Lakes Medical Equipment Loaner Program to assist and provide members of the community with information about this free of charge service provided in our community by the Sun Lakes Posse. Medical equipment is loaned out up to six weeks at a time to the residents of Sun Lakes as needed at no cost to our residents. There is approximately $100,000 worth of medical equipment that rotates throughout the Sun Lakes community that is serviced, cleaned, and made available through the members of this program at the Sun Lakes Posse facility located at 9531 E. Riggs Road in Sun Lakes.
Also in attendance were the uniformed members of the Sun Lakes Sheriff’s Posse patrol accompanied by the Sheriff’s Office SWAT team with their armored vehicle, K-9 patrols, Mobile Command van, Fox 1 Law Enforcement helicopter that also assists in search and rescue, and the Cadets. The community was able to get up close and see these amazing assets available to the Sun Lakes Sheriff’s Posse for service to the Sun Lakes residents that support them. The Sun Lakes Sheriff’s Posse is 100% funded by our Sun Lakes community, and the almost 40 members of the Sun Lakes Posse are all volunteers donating their time to serve our community.
In addition, the Arizona Fire and Medical organization that provides the fire and medical services to the residents of Sun Lakes was in attendance to allow the residents to get up close and see all the equipment available to serve the residents of our community, including a fire truck, ambulance, brush truck, and their rehab truck that assists the firefighters on scene.
Many of the clubs and organizations that provide services to the Sun Lakes community were also in attendance to provide information to residents on how they provide services in our community.
A special thanks to BeCe Kitchen on Riggs and Dobson for bringing their food truck.
We are already planning next year’s open house community event and look forward to an even better experience for our neighbors who support us.
Thank you for the continued support of the Sun Lakes Posse serving our community since 1986.
