Following on the heels of last month’s Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur Services that were so successfully conducted, both in-person and live streaming via YouTube, the Sun Lakes Jewish Congregation (SLJC) will explore using live streaming for future services.
This month’s service is scheduled for Friday, Oct. 8, at 7 p.m. in the Chapel in Sun Lakes Phase 1. The beautiful voices of our SLJC choir, conducted by Lana Oyer, will be heard throughout the service. And when you combine that with the words of wisdom from our wonderful Rabbi Wiener’s sermon, you’ve got a hard act to follow! In addition to all of that, SLJC decided that since it’s still not a good idea to have an oneg after services, they will send everyone home with a little goody bag. Tell me that isn’t a really neat idea! We may be a bit older in age, but we sure are young in ideas!
Our doors are open to all in the community, and SLJC is always delighted to welcome new faces to join us.
So, to recap, services are Oct. 8 at 7 p.m., both in-person (CDC guidelines regarding masks are strictly adhered to) and live streaming via YouTube. SLJC looks forward to seeing you all then!
Shabbat Shalom!
