When you join the Sun Lakes Lady Niners, it won’t take long to realize that the women in this group love to play golf and want to get to know you, regardless of your golf skill level. If you love playing golf but struggle with your game, you will quickly learn that the culture of this organization each week is welcoming, encouraging, and supportive.
The game on Jan. 3 was 1 Ball 2 Ball. The winning team consisted of Wanda Chihak, Gina Long, and Joann Brown. The second-place team was the foursome of Rosie Raisanen, Lavonne Mensink, Beverly Jur, and Sheryl Anderson. The third-place team included Sue Parmenter, Kathleen Mlynarczyk, and Celeste Dorsey.
The game on Jan. 10 was Low Putts, and the winner in Flight 1 was Rosemary King, with Linda Stimart coming in second, and Susan Geis coming in third. In Flight 2 the winner was Joann Brown, with Lavonne Mensink coming in second, and Kathleen Mlynarczyk coming in third. In Flight 3 the winner was Cheryl Kern, with Sue Parmenter coming in second, and Arlene Fletcher coming in third.
The game on Jan. 17 was Water Holes Net Score. The winner in Flight 1 was Rose Gallagher, with Sue Parmenter coming in second, and Wanda Chihak coming in third. In Flight 2 the winner was Karen Miller with Beverly Jur coming in second, and Katheen Mlynarczyk coming in third. In Flight 3 the winner was Cheryl Kern, with Sheryl Anderson coming in second, and Celeste Dorsey coming in third.
The game on Jan. 24 was Low Gross, and the winner in Flight 1 was Rosemary King, with Trudy Mathison coming in second, and Wanda Chihak coming in third. In Flight 2 the winner was Gina Long, with Karen Miller coming in second, and Jan Sykes coming in third. In Flight 3 the winner was Paula Lovelett, with Celeste Dorsey coming in second, and Mary Bohren coming in third.
