Sun Lakes Breakfast Lions Club Donate to Measles Vaccine

Mac Davey

For US $1, a child can be immunized against measles for life, making the vaccine potentially the most cost-effective health intervention available. Ending measles can be a reality, but your help is needed. Lions have engaged in a long-term partnership with Gavi, the Vaccine Alliance, committing US $30 million towards the fight against measles. Thanks to the support through our Flag Program, the Sun Lakes Breakfast Lions Club has donated over 15,000 shots over the past nine years. If you would like to help, you can send a check to the Sun Lakes Breakfast Lions Club, P.O. Box 13353, Chandler, AZ 85245. Mark your check for Measles Vaccine; 100% will be donated to this program.

Community Service Effort

The Sun Lakes Lions Club will be holding a community-wide food drive for the benefit of the Chandler Food Bank (AZCEND) on Jan. 9, from 10 a.m. until noon, as a part of the Lions of Arizona holding a statewide community service effort. With the holidays being behind us in January, there is a continuing, huge, need for food to be donated and provided to those in need. Please come join us in this important effort at the Sun Lakes Country Club, 25601 North Sun Lakes Blvd. If you have any questions, call 480-802-3811 or 480-371-9776.

Many hands make light work!

Mac Davey

At the Sun Lakes Breakfast Lions Club November meeting during COVID-19, we added two new members to our club: Linda and Jack Dreyer. Representing both her husband and herself at the meeting, Linda is pictured holding her Lions membership certificate.
