Breakfast Lions Award Lion of the Year to Couple

One of the nice things about the Sun Lakes Breakfast Lions Club is that we have a few husband-and-wife teams who enjoy helping the Sun Lakes community together. It was SLBLC President Bob Glantz’s honor to award the team of Jack Dreyer and Linda Dreyer their Lion of the Year awards for this year. Jack is our third vice president, and Linda is the secretary for the club, in addition to the many other tasks they do.

If you’re interested in joining the Sun Lakes Breakfast Lions Club, give us a call at 480-242-4356 or email us at [email protected].

Lions Fly the Flag Program

Lion John Peterson

The Sun Lakes Lions Club Fly the Flag program is responsible for installation of over 1,700 American flags covering seven holidays a year. This includes Presidents Day, Memorial Day, Flag Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Patriot Day (9/11 remembrance), and Veterans Day.

To simplify operations, we install flags before Memorial Day and remove them after Independence Day.

We desperately need assistance with flag handlers and drivers. If you are available and wish to contribute, please contact Lion Larry Palmer at 480-707-8790.
