Tickets Going on Sale for SLCT’s ‘Murder at Café Noir’

A comical spoof of old-fashioned film noir classics, Sun Lakes Community Theatre’s (SLCT) summer production, directed by Sandy Pallett, is sure to delight. Who is the murderer? PI Rick Archer literally won’t rest until he solves the crime. And the suspect list is long. There’s Madam Toureau, the manager of Café Noir. Or perhaps it’s Sheila Wonderly, the rich girl working at the café. But what about the sinister black market dealer Anthony Cairo? Equally suspicious is the fortune teller at the café, Marie LaRue. Surely it couldn’t be the lawyer from Britain, Simon Gutterman, could it? Or what about the gunrunner Thursby, the blackmailer VanGilder, or the cop Rigfield? Could one of them be the culprit? You’ll just have to watch and determine for yourself to come up with the answer.

The show opens July 24 and runs through July 28 at Cottonwood’s San Tan Ballroom. Tickets are $25 and include a dessert. A limited menu is available if you wish to enjoy a meal prior to the show.
