Yoga: Vinyasa Style

The Cottonwood Palo Verde Fitness Center is open, and we are doing yoga. Protocols for class size are being followed. CWPV residents can reserve a spot in a class up to two weeks ahead of time on the Cottonwood Palo Verde website. Residents of all other Sun Lakes communities can call 480-895-1776 the morning of class and request a spot in class.

Vinyasa yoga is linking movement and breath. It builds strength, stamina, flexibility, and confidence. We will move from standing, to the floor, and back to standing, incorporating backbends, forward folds, and twists, creating openness, strength, and length as we move.

Vinyasa yoga is not suitable for students who are new to yoga. However, if you are fit and healthy, Tuesday’s class (which is less challenging than Thursday’s) may be a good fit for you. On both Tuesdays and Thursdays I will offer modifications. So, everyone can benefit from their practice, and everyone can explore their limits.

Tuesday’s classes will be less challenging than Thursdays, because we will move slower and I will offer more modifications. Thursday’s classes may move a bit faster, and more challenging poses may be offered. The yoga group is friendly and welcoming. Please join us.
