Chair Yoga time change

New time! The Wednesday Chair Yoga class has been moved from 10:00 a.m. to noon.

What should you expect from Chair Yoga, and who exactly would benefit from it? This class is great for anyone with injuries or illnesses that prevent you from many active forms of exercise, or anyone who has not been able to do much exercise in a long time and needs to start moving the body slowly and gradually. I also have some students who are regular golfers and want to supplement their golf with some targeted movement of the body and joints.

Chair Yoga is a great way to get out of the house and be around people, while getting some gentle movement, stretching, strengthening and some gentle help with balance. In our Chair Yoga classes, we are mostly sitting, but we also usually spend a little time doing some standing poses with our hands on a chair. This is optional, and you may stay seated if that is better for you. But you can also take your hands off the chair if your balance feels solid!

We have Chair Yoga three times a week: Tuesday at 3:00 p.m., Wednesday at noon and Friday at 1:00 p.m. Please join us and feel free to bring a friend.

We have many other types of yoga classes throughout the week, which vary in speed and intensity. You choose the classes that feel best for your own body. **You do not need to sign up ahead of time. Please just walk in!**
