Desert Artists Club members are busy creating wonderful works of art. Our club members meet each Tuesday from 3 to 6 p.m. in the Ceramics Room in Cottonwood. All artists are invited to join, who live in any of the three HOAs within Sun Lakes. This long-established club is a diverse group of artists who gather to be with other artists in a relaxing and supportive environment. Each artist brings their own supplies and works in their preferred medium at their own pace. We have artists of all levels and backgrounds. It is fun to get together with other artists and share our creative techniques.

Our casual club has no dues or regular meetings and enjoys occasional social gatherings during the year. Artists work in many mediums, including watercolors, oils, acrylics, pen and ink, pastels, and colored pencils, to name a few. Some of our artists participate in the annual Art at the Lakes held each March, also in Cottonwood. Watch for articles in the Splash regarding date and time. You don’t want to miss this wonderful premier art event.

If you are an artist or an artist in the making and interested in finding out more about our group, stop in any Tuesday between 3 and 5 p.m. and see if this club might work for you. You may also reach me with questions at 480-745-2198 or at [email protected].
