Enjoy Art with a great group of art students and an inspired teacher. New ideas and materials will be introduced along with the basics. This is a fun, easy, relaxed loose style watercolor class full of new ideas; we often finish a painting in each class. Beginners and experienced students will experience growth in their art. New students can start at any time. Alice does not want to change your style unless you want it changed. Every class starts with a demo and a topic and ends with a critique and shared ideas. Boats and water, animals, landscape, buildings and interpretive art are just some of the topics being painted. We meet from 9:30 a.m. to noon in the Arts and Crafts Room at Sun Lakes Country Club. Cost is $75 for six classes. Make-ups are allowed so you do not pay if you are out of town. Teacher is Alice Van Overstraeten; call her for more information at 480-831-3315 or email her [email protected]

Alice’s My Zoo Cook Book for children has sold over 2,000 copies. Her new book, a fairy tale title (name pending) is not quite finished; she hopes to have it ready to introduce it at the Art at The Lakes show in March. Alice is also illustrating five children’s books for another author. The class is also doing some illustration ideas for their own books. New students can join in on any Fridays starting in October.
