State Parties

Nebraska

Fresh from another successful Nebraska state dinner February 27, the planning committee is already busy preparing for next year’s event scheduled for the Cottonwood San Tan Ballroom on February 25, 2017.

New committee members elected at the recent meeting include Carla Teusaw, president and Sue Bogatz. Other committee members include Sue Hull, reservations and seating; Clint Skinner and Ormal Saathoff, co-secretaries; Dick Vaughn, raffle; Jeanne Vaughn, raffle and seating; and Gary Vacin, publicity.

Washington

For the first time since 2012, nearly 250 Washingtonians got together on March 13 at Palo Verde for a relaxed, casual, late afternoon of fun, fellowship, food and some pretty good prizes, including cash. Nearly 60 percent of the partygoers were new to the area or had never been to a Washington party. At the end of the party, the question, “Should we do it again next year?” was met with cheers, so Palo Verde has already been reserved for March 12, 2017.

If you’re not already on our mailing list, send the committee an e-mail at [email protected]. Include your name(s), Sun Lakes address, email address (for party notification only), phone number and the Washington city you’d like on your name tag. When the time comes, you’ll get a registration form, hopefully by email. If you don’t have an email address call Kit Carlton at 480-639-3164 and give her the information so we can mail you a form, next January.
